Are you ready to embark on a journey that will define the quality and reliability of data for a highly regarded and well-known organisation? As the IT Senior QA Analyst for Data, you’ll be at the forefront of data excellence, working on exciting projects without limits.

What you’ll be doing:

You are the guardian of data quality, ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and security of our data systems within the testing strategy.

• Providing release/project testing expertise, even outside regular hours, with meticulous test plans and comprehensive coverage reports.
• Diagnosing and resolving issues swiftly by diving into the data logs and directing the right team towards resolution.
• Crafting detailed bug reports and meticulously recording your findings in tools like Jira. You’ll also focus on automation to make testing smarter and more efficient.
• Creating, refining, and enhancing test cases for our Data Platform Services. You’ll also be the guardian of quality, ensuring that test scripts meet the highest standards, whether they’re manual or automated.
• Assisting in the testing of systems within our Data Platform Services to guarantee they meet design specifications and maintain data integrity.
• Supporting internal clients with queries related to data systems and ongoing issues.
• Keeping our management team and stakeholders informed of your progress and reporting on test results, including any unresolved defects.
• Collaborating with Product Owners, Developers, Architects, and Business experts to translate requirements into effective test scripts. You’ll ensure the test team is aligned with sprint priorities.
• Maintaining a detailed knowledge of our company’s testing procedures, processes, and tools, and ensuring they are always up-to-date and followed diligently.
• Sharing your expertise with the team, helping them develop their technical skills and best testing practices. Staying updated on emerging trends and practices.

What you can bring:

• Profound experience with Data Platforms like Warehouse & Data Lake technologies.
• A technical wizard with the ability to troubleshoot issues using log analysis.
• Strong SQL knowledge, for reviewing TSQL Code and querying data.
• ISTQB Qualification, minimum Foundation level.

Desirable:

• Testing experience with end-to-end solutions, including crafting test plans, strategies, and reports.
• Previous experience with test automation tools.
• Familiarity with Data and Visualization tools (e.g., QlikView).
• Experience using Swagger and Logz.io.
• Prior involvement in a senior testing role, including leadership and collaboration with external stakeholders.
