DevOps Infrastructure Engineer

We have an exciting opening for a DevOps Infrastructure Engineer to join a rapidly growing Software company, currently undergoing early stages of Internationalisation, with plans for their first US standpoint in the next 6-9 months, so it represents a great time to get on board!

Our Partner also provide the chance to work with some of the latest and greatest tech, such as Azure and .Net Core.

What the role entails

We’re looking for a driven individual to join our development teams to help us with DevOps, and IAC supporting our existing deployments which run on HyperV (this is largely managed manually).

As such the role would suit a developer who wants to embrace DevOps or a classic infrastructure engineer with a passion to join the new age of code-based deployments.

What you can bring to the role

  • SQL queries, understanding of SQL indexes, replication options and performance optimisation a benefit
  • A firm knowledge of web hosting, ideally with knowledge of the Microsoft platform (older solutions are hosted on IIS running on Windows Server, newer ones on the .Net Core Kestral Server running on Linux (some in containers)
  • Comfortable with scripting or coding, if in coming from an infrastructure background you must have a passion for scripting (e.g., in Bash or Powershell)
  • A thirst for knowledge and career progression
  • Happy to work in an agile, fast-moving development environment
  • Infrastructure knowledge ideally, from a Microsoft perspective
  • A passion for sharing knowledge and working within a small fast-paced company
