We are on the lookout for a Data Governance Manager who is passionate about driving data integrity and compliance across fast-paced organisation. In this role, you’ll play a crucial part in shaping data governance practices, collaborating with various teams to ensure data quality, security, and regulatory compliance while supporting the continuous improvement of our data management framework.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Design, implement, and refine the data governance framework, policies, procedures, and standards in line with industry standards such as DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Implement and manage an MDM (Master Data Management) tool to ensure the control and quality of master data across the organisation.
  • Act as an advocate for data governance across departments, building a culture of accountability and compliance.
  • Work with IT, legal, compliance, and business teams to establish data standards and ensure consistent application of policies.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of data cataloging tools for effective data classification and accessibility.
  • Establish and monitor data quality rules, guidelines, and metrics, using tools to improve data quality.
  • Monitor compliance with data privacy regulations such as GDPR, CCPA, and HIPAA, addressing data management, privacy, and security concerns.
  • Lead data governance projects, managing them from initiation through to completion, including automating workflows and improving data stewardship.
  • Develop and deliver data governance training programs to ensure staff understand best practices and compliance requirements.

What You Can Bring:

  • Strong understanding of data governance frameworks, data quality tools, and data privacy regulations.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with diverse teams and advocate for data governance practices.
  • Background in the Company or London Market Insurance sectors is advantageous.
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Management, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field.
