We are on the lookout for a Claims Operations & Management Information Technician to join a growing insurance company!
Responsibilities include: ensuring that data in monthly claims bordereaux is accurate and complete; gathering or generating KPIs and MI reports for claims monitoring purposes and analysis; tracking claims payments and float amounts. Regular engagement with key claims personnel is key to ensuring that operational and MI needs are understood and delivery appropriately prioritised.
What you’ll be doing:

  • Ensure accuracy and overall data quality of monthly claims bordereaux through review of automated Cloud validation checks and manual cross checks to the Excel file where required.
  • Track claims projections, claims payments and float amounts and work with Finance on bank account reconciliations if required.
  • Gather and generate KPIs and MI reports for claims monitoring purposes and analysis.
  • Lead design claims bordereaux templates and write specifications.
  • Assist in the completion of regular regulatory returns.
  • Support the claims department with internal/external audit requirements.
  • Utilize SQL and Power BI skills to work with the Cloud data to support data reporting needs.
  • Provide support to the Claims Team and Operations Projects as required.
  • Ensure that both the US and European claims teams data and MI needs are fully understood and development and delivery of these are appropriate prioritised based on business risk and delivery progress regularly communicated.
  • Build effective working relationships with other team members and clients.

What you can bring:
 

  • At least 3 years’ operations or management information experience.
  • Previous experience of undertaking performance analysis.
  • Ability to interpret data and identify anomalies.
  • Microsoft Office skills: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and VBA to an intermediate level.
  • Strong SQL and Power BI skills or experience in similar analytical tools.
  • Educated to degree level or relevant industry experience.
  • Previous experience of producing executive reports advantageous.
  • Claims Insurance knowledge is a preferrable
  • Accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong planning and organisational skills.
  • Good data analytical skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge of IT systems.
  • Ability to work on own to strict deadlines.
