What does the role involve?

  • Accountable for ensuring all Business Change programme, projects & initiatives are planned, resourced, managed, implemented, and reported against in accordance with the overall governance framework & quality criteria.
  • Accountable for leading the business change team and identifying change adoption strategies, solutions throughout the firm, incorporating change methodologies (identifying the most appropriate method is key to this role) to deliver adoption and sustainable outcomes aligned to the specified benefits
  • Programme / Project manage the implementation of approved business improvement initiatives and ensure each project delivers against the objectives and ‘return on investment’ detailed within the business case
  • Scope out the approach and produce a plan to gain effective stakeholder / sponsor buy in and understanding prior to delivery
  • Provide updates on progress, issues, and proposed changes / solutions to the key stakeholders in a timely and effective manner at all stages of the delivery and change lifecycle
  • Production of clear and detailed business cases which capture the change objective, options, the proposed change/solution, a risk impact assessment, and adoption model to best realise the return on investment
  • Provide central updates on progress against the Delivery plans, Risk registers to the Head of Business
  • Change & Delivery & work with BC&D management team to support the ongoing strategic business delivery plan

What you can bring to the role:

  • Experience leading a portfolio of Change projects whilst also managing a team of change specialists ideally within a professional services firm or working as a consultant (ideally within the legal sector)
  • Both change management and programme management qualifications with experience of applying change methodologies
  • Experience of adopting a ‘consulting’ and ‘solution’ focused approach
  • Experience of managing change delivery and adoption covering a broad remit of deliverables focusing on people, culture, technology and process change
  • Sound understanding of the legal (or similar) sector
  • Experience of running programmes, projects which introduce organisational and process change to business functions
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Good analytical skills and acute business acumen for organisational issues, challenges and building, executing strategic plans
  • Excellent IT skills with good understanding and experience of using MS Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Visio
