Key Responsibilities:

Infrastructure Management: Effectively manage, maintain, and administer servers, services, and network infrastructure across multiple sites, ensuring compliance with industry best practices and security standards.

Technical Expertise: Demonstrate advanced knowledge in key technology areas, including Microsoft server technologies, networking (Switching, Routing, TCP/IP, VLAN, VPN), virtualized infrastructure (Azure, VMWare, Hyper-V), and management/security technologies (GPO, Intune, MDM).

Patch Management: Ensure the server, workstation, virtual host, and network estate are fully patch managed. Review and deploy patches, overseeing schedules, and working on an out-of-hours rota for critical updates.

Collaboration and Support: Actively support and collaborate with IT Service Delivery, Infrastructure, and Project teams in implementing and supporting new technologies.

Ownership of Incidents: Take ownership and lead major incidents, coordinating with internal and external resources through resolution. Keep the business informed through regular communications.

Environmental Impact Assessment: Assess the impact of tasks on the environment and propose improvements in processes/products.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proficient in Microsoft enterprise technologies (Azure/M365/Server/MEM/Windows).
  • Professional qualifications such as MCSA, CCENT, AWS.
  • Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
  • Previous experience in networking, VMware virtualization, and data integrity/protection.
  • Experience in managing large enterprise server and network environments.

Desirable:

  • Previous experience in a tiered structured support environment.
  • ITIL Certified.
  • Palo Alto Certified.
  • VCTA or VCP.
